Meeting Stringent QC Requirements for Curtain Wall Extrusions
To meet the stringent visual requirements of the facade, each unitized curtain wall panel assembly includes no fewer than five profiles mated together. Additionally, many unitized curtain wall die sections were designed to be of considerable width, exceeding 250mm, and some even approached 400mm. Furthermore, the project mandated that all unitized curtain wall extrusions meet or exceed the European Standard EN 12020-2, which is well-known in the aluminum industry for its strict criteria in areas such as straightness, flatness, and twist.
In addition to these challenges, there were strict lead times for completing the extrusion products that had to be adhered to. All of these factors combined to create an exceptionally demanding environment for Chip Aik as the aluminum material supplier. Today, Chip Aik takes immense pride in its association with this project.
