Aluminium Surface Finishing

Protecting and Enhancing Your Aluminium Products

When aluminium is extruded or cast/ rolled from the mill, the raw finish is known as Mill Finish. Even though aluminium has a naturally occurring oxide film that protects it from corrosion, it is always recommended to improve the corrosion resistance and enhance the appearance of aluminium through a secondary procedure.

There are number of factors to consider when choosing the appropriate surface finishing –

  • Appearance (matt, gloss, coloured, natural, timbre lookalike);
  • Environment where the aluminium is used (interior, exterior, near sea side areas), and
  • Purpose of use (decorative, industrial, support, etc)

These are the different types of surfacing finishing we can offer for our alumininum products:

Anodising treatment can provide excellent corrosion resistance and metallic colour options. Such finishes are widely used for both interior and exterior applications.

Powder coating provides an attractive finish to aluminium frames and once coated, does not require repainting.

Woodgrain coating is gaining popularity to achieve timbre-like appearance on aluminium frames, trellis without the maintenance issues associated with real wood.
